Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a neuropeptide with the amino acid sequence Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu. It has been identified in both free and bound forms in the hypothalamus, limbic system, and pituitary, as well as in various peripheral tissues and body fluids. DSIP is found alongside other peptide and non-peptide mediators, including corticotropin-like intermediate peptide (CLIP), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), and melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH).
